Job description

We are working with secondary schools across the Preston and surrounding areas. Our partner schools are seeking candidates to work as Cover Supervisors, with opportunities for daily supply or longer fixed-term contracts.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Lead lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher.
  2. Cover classes across a range of secondary school subjects, without requiring subject specialist expertise.
  3. Facilitate learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers, and provide handovers to absent teachers.
  4. Maintain adaptability, flexibility, motivation, confidence, and organisation, with a passion for supporting young people.
Opportunities

This role offers valuable experience within a secondary school setting, beneficial for those considering Initial Teacher Training. Previous secondary school experience is desirable but not essential.
