An established industry player is looking for Cover Supervisors to lead lessons across secondary schools in the Blackpool area. We are working with secondary schools across the Blackpool and wider Fylde Coast areas. Our partner schools are seeking candidates to work as Cover Supervisors, with opportunities for daily supply or longer fixed-term contracts.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. You will cover classes across various secondary school subjects; prior subject expertise is not required as lessons will be planned and provided in advance. Your responsibilities include facilitating learning, managing classroom behaviour, recording accurate registers, and providing a handover to the absent teacher. Successful candidates are adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident, organised, passionate about education, and supportive of young people.
This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain secondary school experience before applying for Initial Teacher Training. Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
