Job summary

Class One Traffic Management in Scotland is looking for a motivated Trainee Contracts Technician to join the Contracts Team in Bonnybridge. This is an excellent start in the traffic management industry, offering exposure to planning, design, operations and project delivery while you learn from experienced colleagues.

You will gain hands-on training, develop technical and commercial knowledge, liaise with authorities for permits, attend site visits, and contribute to quotations and project

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced environment.
• A full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and production of traffic management drawings under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
• Support the Contracts Team with the planning and coordination of traffic management projects.
• Learn how to liaise with local authorities and relevant stakeholders to obtain permits and approvals.
• Work closely with Operations Teams and Contracts Managers across all depots to gain an understanding of project delivery.
• Attend site visits, surveys and meetings to develop knowledge of traffic management operations and customer requirements.
• Assist with customer communications and respond to enquiries.
• Support the preparation of quotations, project documentation and contract records.
• Develop an understanding of industry standards, legislation and best practice within the traffic management sector.
• Undertake training and development activities to build technical, commercial and operational knowledge.
