Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a local role in Bury St Edmunds, England. You will receive full air compressor training and work on installation, maintenance, service and repair of compressed air systems. The role offers a salary of £30,000–£40,000 with OTE £45k+, training, progression, overtime and a pension.

Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm. Ideal candidates have basic mechanical and electrical experience and are looking to build a career in the compressed air sector

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical experience or similar in a service role.
• Electrical experience and aptitude for diagnostics within mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, service and repair of compressed air systems.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment and systems.

Field Service Engineer (Full Air Compressor Training)

Are you a Service Engineer or similar, with basic mechanical/electrical experience, looking for a highly autonomous role with full training provided, and progression opportunities into a Lead Engineer as your role develops?

Are you looking for a local, stable, long-term position where you will be taught to perform hands‑on, rewarding work on air compressors, joining a highly‑reputable business who put their staff first?

In this role, you will be trained to be responsible for the installation, maintenance, service and repair of Compressed Air Systems as well as troubleshooting and diagnostics. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, alongside providing technical advice where applicable.

This role would suit a Service Engineer or similar with basical mechanical/electrical experience, looking to build a career fore yourself within the Compressed Air Systems industry.
