Job summary

Warburtons is recruiting a Trainee Class 2 Driver for its Bristol depot. You will join a 43 hours per week rolling rota with early starts around 3.30am and gain a Class 2 licence with training costs covered.

The role involves picking orders, loading deliveries and delivering to customers with a strong focus on reliability and customer service. Training is provided and CPC modules are completed in work hours.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full current UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation.
• Reliable, responsible and customer focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick orders from delivery notes or device.
• Load bakery products onto vehicle for delivery.
• Deliver to customers following a 5/7 rolling rota and 43 hours per week.

Salary: £602.01 per week (rising to £783.69 per week upon completion and move into Class 2 position)

Essential Ingredients

To join the Warburtons family, you'll need a full current UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points. You'll also have a good knowledge of transport legislation, be reliable, responsible, customer focused and used to working in a fast paced environment, ideally with multi drop or home delivery experience and ideally previous experience of picking orders.

The Recipe

• Be supported by the driver training teams in an intensive training course, to gain your Class 2 Licence, with no cost to you.
• Ongoing fully funded Driver CPC (Your Driver CPC training is in work hours too, not outside of them)
• Be an early riser. Your shift will start at around 3.30am, so it's an early start, but your afternoons will be your own.
• You will also enjoy plenty of autonomy. As a driver you'll be given delivery notes (or an electronic device), from which you'll accurately pick the orders (either prior to leaving or out on your route) and load your vehicle with bakery products.
• Work set contracted hours and have stable shift patterns. That's 43 hours a week, working a rotating 5 days including weekends, although a typical week can be less than that. All of which will hopefully help you to plan your life around work more easily.
