Warburtons is recruiting a Class 2 Multi-Drop Driver for the Basingstoke Distribution Depot. You will load your own vehicle, pick orders from delivery notes, and deliver to West London and surrounding areas with a rotating 5‑day pattern including weekends.

The role starts early with shifts around 03:30 and offers full autonomy on the road and strong brand support from a heritage bakery leader. You should hold a full UK Driving Licence with Class C entitlement and a valid Driver CPC.

Responsibilities

• Load your own vehicle and deliver baked goods to multiple customers daily.
• Accurately pick orders from delivery notes or an electronic device and ensure full loads.
• Maintain knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport legislation (Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, Highway Code).
• Follow a defined rotating 5-day pattern, including weekends, for 43 hours per week.

The Recipe

• You’ll receive a 6-week induction and support from our in-house driver training team.
• You’ll be an early riser—shifts start around 03:30 (some patterns may vary). The upside? Your afternoons are all yours.
• You’ll enjoy plenty of autonomy. You’ll be given delivery notes (or an electronic device), from which you’ll accuratelypick the ordersand load your own vehicle with our baked goods—either at the depot or on the move.
• To help keep your day smooth and safe, knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and transport legislation (Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, Highway Code, etc.) will be key in order to relay faults on defect forms.
• Once your route for the day is loaded into your onboard computer, you’re off!
• You’ll deliver to multiple customers daily (they’re like family to us), so top‑notch service, strong relationships, and professionalism are a must. This includes being able to manage difficult conversations in a calm manner and acting as an ambassador for our brand.
• You’ll work a defined rotating 5‑day pattern, including weekends. That’s 43 hours a week, though some weeks may be less. All of which will hopefully help you to plan your life around work more easily.

Basingstoke has around 80 colleagues working across distribution and warehousing from a wide range of nationalities, who support in the delivery of over one million items per week.
