Based in Leyburn, we are a 2nd generation family-run home care business established in 2002, operating with clients across North Yorkshire, with some live-in clients all over England. Our clients are mostly self-funding, but we also have North Yorkshire funded hourly care clients, as well as some NHS funded care. We are recruiting for a new Trainee Care Coordinator - information about the role is laid out below.

Trainee Care Coordinator

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Care Coordinator to be based in our Leyburn office.

As the Trainee Care Coordinator, you will work as part of our care coordinator team, reporting to the Registered Manager. You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of service, ensuring Premiere Care’s clients and carers receive an excellent, well-managed, and efficient service.

The successful candidate will be well-organised, computer literate, and possess a confident, caring approach to dealing with the public, both over the phone and in person. They must be a car owner/driver with a full UK driving licence. It is desirable (but not essential) to have some prior experience in the care industry. We will provide comprehensive training on our systems, processes, and care practices for those without previous experience.

Job Description
  1. Managing carer availability and ensuring client care needs are met
  2. Home assessment of clients and their needs, and drafting care plans
  3. Maintaining administrative records on online and office filing systems
  4. Managing emergency care cover as needed
  5. Covering the on-call rota
  6. Dealing with new client and carer enquiries
  7. Promoting our values and quality assurance
  8. Handling complaints
Person Specification
  1. One year's experience within a domiciliary care service (desirable)
  2. Well-organised with good attention to detail
  3. Ability to think quickly and remain calm under pressure
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. Good interpersonal skills, with experience in sensitive communication over the phone and in person
  6. IT literate
  7. Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  8. Must be a driver with access to their own car
