Job summary

Stagecoach Bus is offering an apprenticeship at our Chesterfield depot. You’ll be paid during training and gain your PCV licence through a Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship.

No experience required; earn while you learn, with fully paid training and progression into a full driving role with a community-focused employer.

You will join a team at Chesterfield depot, working varied shifts and benefiting from a pension, holidays and travel perks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a driving licence and no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Complete training and gain PCV licence via Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship.

Salary

£14.12 Per hour after training rising to £15.12 Per hour after 1 Years service.

• Based at our Chesterfield depot, located at Sheffield Road, Stonegravels, S41 7JH
• Pay rate during training of £14.12 per hour (training will last 6 – 8 weeks)
• Annual earnings of £29,649.36 following completion of training based on 39 hours per week as a qualified Bus Driver, rising to £30,663 after 1 years service.
• Shift patterns of Early, middle and late duties.

• What do you need to apply?

• You need to be 18 years old and hold a driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Right to work in the UK (You will need to have been in the UK for a minimum of 183 days as part of DVLA requirement) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands or the British overseas territories for the last 3 years OR meet alternative criteria due to funding criteria (can be discussed via application)
