The Vacancy

Up and Under Ltd, a member of RSK Group, are an engineering consultancy specializing in inspections and surveys of buildings, bridges, and structures within transportation, utilities, and building sectors. We have a Trainee Bridge Inspector position available in Crewe, Cheshire.

Full training will be provided to enable you to undertake inspections, surveys, and investigations of structures. The role involves working at heights or in confined spaces, requiring a reasonable level of fitness. When in the office, you'll assist with project preparations and client reports.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with project preparations
  2. Perform tasks according to project briefs and manager instructions
  3. Keep accurate records of work actions
  4. Help prepare reports
  5. Follow safety, environmental, and quality procedures and promote safety culture

The role combines office and site work, with the balance varying based on company needs and project profiles.

Candidates must be prepared to travel across the UK, often staying away from home, with a valid full UK driving license. Night and weekend work may be required.
