Job summary

Pure Staff are recruiting a Trainee AutoCAD Technician for a Burton-on-Trent based client. The role offers full training and a path to permanent employment in technical design and passive fire protection. You will learn to produce 2D drawings, interpret specifications, and support project documentation.

This position requires a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. A full UK driving licence is essential for site visits.

Qualifications

• No previous AutoCAD experience required as training will be provided.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Reliable, punctual and hard-working.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate 2D and, where required, 3D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, plans, elevations and construction details.
• Interpreting engineering, architectural and technical specifications.
• Amending and updating drawings in line with design changes and project requirements.
• Maintaining drawing registers, revisions and document control.
• Ensuring drawings comply with relevant standards, specifications and company procedures.
• Liaising with engineers, designers, project managers, clients and contractors as required.
• Checking drawings for accuracy, consistency and completeness before issue.
• Assisting with the preparation of project documentation and technical information.
• Managing multiple drawings and projects while meeting agreed deadlines.
• Maintaining organised electronic drawing files and records.
• Supporting the Technical Team in the development and delivery of technical passive fire protection details using AutoCAD software.
• Learning and developing within a fast-paced working environment.

Position: Trainee AutoCAD Technician
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Salary: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Trainee AutoCAD Technician on behalf of our fantastic and long-standing client based in Burton-on-Trent. Your Role as a Trainee AutoCAD Technician

Pay & Shifts

• £15.00 – £17.00 per hour depending on experience.
• 37.5 paid hours per week.
• Temporary to Permanent opportunity.
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
• 09:00-17:00
