Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking an AutoCAD Technician for its architectural firescreens team in Leeds. The role focuses on producing accurate production drawings from site surveys and architectural plans, supporting design through to manufacture and installation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on AutoCAD experience, a keen eye for detail, and an interest in architectural, interiors or metalwork projects. Hybrid working is offered after training, with a permanent, full-time contract and ASAP start.

Responsibilities

• Produce production drawings and technical details for manufacture and installation.
• Develop drawings from site surveys and architectural plans.
• Manage the initial design stage of projects.
• Provide technical support and advice to account managers and architects.
• Accurately record project correspondence and technical discussions.
• Purchase or coordinate the purchasing of materials required for contracts.
• Work closely with contracts teams, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Capture and communicate customer feedback to support continual improvement.
• Ensure all drawings and technical information are accurate and produced to the required standards.

AutoCAD Technician - Architectural Firescreens

Location: Leeds, LS12
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 39.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Hybrid Working: 1-2 days per week from home once fully trained

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AutoCAD Technician to join a specialist architectural firescreen team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical and production drawings from site surveys and architectural drawings, supporting the design process through to manufacture and installation.

This role would suit an experienced AutoCAD Technician with a strong eye for detail and an interest in architectural, interiors, metalwork or construction-related projects.

Experience & Requirements

• Working knowledge and practical experience of AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of technical and production drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and site survey information.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Metalwork, balustrades or architectural experience would be advantageous.
• Experience within interiors, partitions or similar construction-related environments would be desirable.
