Job summary

Randstad UK Education is seeking a Trainee Teacher/Teaching Assistant to support Autistic students and help implement a personalised curriculum. You'll work 1:1 and in groups, following weekly and seasonal planning, in a calm, resource-rich setting.

The role offers a two-year training pathway to become an Autism teacher, with term-time hours and potential for part-time arrangements. GCSEs in Maths and English and a right-to-work status in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners that have various SEN needs is desirable but not essential.
• GCSE Maths and English are required.
• Right to work in the UK is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the teacher according to planning.
• Work 1:1 with students.
• Deliver group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Support learners in developing work.
• Support learners' wellbeing within the school structure.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating student learning under teacher guidance.
• Support the use of management strategies to create a purposeful learning environment.
• Support learners in planned structured work across all curriculum areas.
