Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Trainee Teacher to develop into an Autism Teacher, working 1:1 and in small groups with autistic pupils. The role offers a two-year training programme in a calm, resource-rich setting on school grounds with free onsite parking and meals.

Candidates should show commitment to safety, have GCSEs in Maths and English, and be ready to join a supportive team in a term-time, on-site environment in the UK.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with learners that have various SEN needs.
• Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
• Confidence to support in groups and different subjects.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to the teacher according to weekly/daily/seasonal planning.
• Working 1:1 with students.
• Providing group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Working with learners to develop work.
• Supporting learners' wellbeing within the school structure.
• Monitoring and evaluating students’ learning under teacher guidance.
• Assisting teachers in using management strategies for a productive learning environment.
• Supporting learners in planned structured work across curriculum areas.
