Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Trainee Teacher to develop into a qualified SEN Autism Teacher. The role involves working 1:1 with autistic pupils, delivering a personalised curriculum and supporting classroom activities.

Applicants should be available Monday to Friday 08:45-16:45, term-time only with part-time options considered. Training will be provided to become a dedicated autism teacher, with benefits including free parking and meals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with SEN is desirable but not essential.
• Right to work in the UK.
• GCSE Maths and English required.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to the teacher as per planning.
• Working 1:1 with students.
• Providing group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
• Supporting learners to develop work and wellbeing within the school environment.
• Monitoring and evaluating students' learning under guidance.
• Assisting teachers with management strategies for a purposeful learning environment.
• Supporting learners in designated curriculum activities.
