Job summary

Specsavers in Irvine/Johnstone invites applications for an Audiology Practitioner, joining an accredited AP training path. You will train alongside colleagues, supported by a HAD, learning ear care, hearing aid fitting, and patient management skills.

No degree is required to enrol; strong English skills and a desire for self-improvement are essential. Full-time role with admin duties and progression opportunities within the store.

Responsibilities

• Enrolment on Specsavers AP course and training with support from a Hearing Aid Dispenser.
• Perform ear wax removals, fit and programme hearing aids, fit domes and replace tubes.
• Handle in-store admin duties and patient management tasks.
• Opportunity to progress to other roles within the store or wider business.

Want to help the nation hear clearer than ever? As an Audiology Practitioner at Specsavers, you can work alongside your partners and colleagues to help more customers with their hearing, faster. You will be enrolled onto the Specsavers AP course and will train to completion, with the support of a Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD), learning valuable skills such as being able to perform ear wax removals, fit and programme hearing aids, fitting new domes and replace tubes. This role will also involve a degree of admin duties too.

Once fully trained there may be the opportunity to move on to other roles within the store or wider business. Here at Specsavers, your opportunities are endless.

Our stores

You will be to supporting our stores in Irvine and Johnstone. Both stores are busy and well-equipped with fantastic facilities. They both have parking available and are close to train stations, making them ideal for commuting.

We have a friendly team on the Audiology side of the business with a good mix of experience who are looking forward to meeting you.

• Salary up to £26,852 per annum
• Full-time: 40 hours per week working 5 days - weekend working is required in this role

While we don’t need you to have a degree or any specific qualifications to enrol on this programme, we do need you to have a few skills to get started here.Firstly, you’ll need to have good written and verbal English skills, so we know you can communicate effectively with your customers and colleagues. You’ll also need to have a keen interest in self-development, desire to further your skills, and then ideally a fluency in use of patient management systems (but don’t worry if you don’t have that last one).
