Job summary

Specsavers is recruiting an Audiology Practitioner to join our team and train via the AP programme with HAD support. You will learn ear wax removal, fit and programme hearing aids, and perform related admin duties.

The role offers a ongoing training path with potential moves within the store or wider business. Based in Chorley and Leyland, the position is full-time (37.5 hours) with one weekend day required, 28 days' leave, and access to our pension scheme.

Job description

Want to help the nation hear clearer than ever? As an Audiology Practitioner at Specsavers, you can work alongside your partners and colleagues to help more customers with their hearing, faster. You will be enrolled onto the Specsavers AP course and will train to completion, with the support of a Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD), learning valuable skills such as being able to perform ear wax removals, fit and programme hearing aids, fitting new domes and replace tubes. This role will also involve a degree of admin duties too.

Once fully trained there may be the opportunity to move on to other roles within the store or wider business. Here at Specsavers, your opportunities are endless.

Our stores

You will be to supporting our stores in Chorley and Leyland, both easily accessible by public transport.

While we don’t need you to have a degree or any specific qualifications to enrol on this programme, we do need you to have a few skills to get started here.Firstly, you’ll need to have good written and verbal English skills, so we know you can communicate effectively with our customers and colleagues. You’ll also need to have a keen interest in self-development, desire to further your skills, and then ideally a fluency in use of patient management systems (but don’t worry if you don’t have that last one).
