Job summary

Specsavers is seeking an Audiology Practitioner to join our Abingdon store. You will train on the AP course with HAD support, gaining skills in ear wax removal and patient care, while also handling reception duties.

The role supports Abingdon store with flexible hours; salary up to £21,840 for wax-qualification, with base £18,928 for standard role. Part-time 28 hours across 4 days plus Sundays; auto-enrolled in a pension; Specsavers Perks and WeCare.

Job description

Want to help the nation hear clearer than ever? As an Audiology Practitioner at Specsavers, you can work alongside your partners and colleagues to help more customers with their hearing, faster. You will be enrolled onto the Specsavers AP course and will train to completion, with the support of a Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD), learning valuable skills such as being able to perform ear wax removals. This role will also involve a degree of reception duties too.

Once fully trained there may be the opportunity to move on to other roles within the store or wider business. Here at Specsavers, your opportunities are endless. We would be especially keen to chat to candidates who have a wax removal qualification/certificate.

You will be to supporting our store in Abingdon and once you have successfully passed the wax specialist part of our AP course, there will also be a requirement to work 1 day per week at Newmedica Abingdon.

While we don’t need you to have a degree or any specific qualifications to enrol on this programme, we do need you to have a few skills to get started here.Firstly, you’ll need to have good written and verbal English skills, so we know you can communicate effectively with our customers and colleagues. You’ll also need to have a keen interest in self-development, desire to further your skills, and then ideally a fluency in use of patient management systems (but don’t worry if you don’t have that last one).
