Job description

Within the Construction environment, think about buying materials, managing big projects, ensuring health and safety, and customer service. At any given time, we’re working on approximately 400 developments across towns and rural areas in the UK, each presenting unique challenges. Some projects involve new builds on brownfield sites; others focus on adapting existing buildings like old factories or disused hospitals.

We need people who can bring fresh ideas and imagination, alongside the commercial skills to manage people, budgets, and costs. Our construction teams are highly professional, as evidenced by winning more NHBC Pride in the Job Awards than any other housebuilder for thirteen consecutive years.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will assist in site management, supporting and learning about construction processes. Your activities must support targets related to health and safety, build quality, customer care, and cost management.

You will be expected to:

  1. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, NHBC standards, building regulations, and quality standards at all times.
  2. Report activities or actions that could impact health and safety, quality, customer care, or costs.
  3. Liaise with internal departments, external suppliers, and partners to meet build schedules.
  4. Monitor material levels to minimize stock while ensuring the build program is met and labor is efficiently employed.
  5. Ensure all plots are built to high quality standards and contribute to overall site presentation.
  6. Assist in defect reporting via IFix.
  7. Exemplify good behavior in health and safety, organization, conduct, quality, and professionalism.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for:

  1. Confident communication skills with a positive attitude.
  2. Leadership qualities and developing assertiveness.
  3. Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems effectively.
  4. A desire to learn and gain experience in site management and customer care.

We have been recognized as a 5-star housebuilder since 2010, delivering high-quality homes for all generations. Our success stems from talented people, innovative technology, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. We offer tailored opportunities for apprentices, graduates, experienced professionals, and ex-Armed Forces personnel to help us stay ahead and build the homes Britain needs.

Our hybrid working model allows office-based colleagues to divide their time between the office, construction sites, sales offices, and home, depending on the role. We value the benefits of flexible working for our company and colleagues.

We aim to build an inclusive organization where everyone with drive and talent can pursue their careers, regardless of gender, race, age, sexuality, disability, or background.
