Job summary

Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd, a family-run business active in construction, waste management and plant services, is hiring for an asbestos removal role at our Gloucester depot. No prior experience is required as full training is provided, with a full UK driving licence preferred.

You will work 42.5 hours per week at competitive hourly pay (£14) and enjoy benefits including on-site parking, life assurance, a gym discount and progression opportunities as you grow with the company.

• Experience in carpentry/site work/hand tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• To carry out asbestos removal works on a variety of projects including commercial and residential buildings.
• To ensure all works carried out are in accordance with instructions.
• To work in accordance with HSE regulatory requirements and Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd policies and procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team.

Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is a family run business owned and run by the Smith family since 1982. Smiths has grown from a single owner-operated plant hire company to a multifaceted group with family values still firmly at the heart of each project undertaken. With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England. We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.

Hourly rate: £14 + full training package provided.

Contracted hours: 42.5 hours per week
