This is your chance to build a rewarding career in the environmental safety sector, where your work helps protect people’s health and improve building safety. This entry-level role suits someone enthusiastic, adaptable, and keen to learn in a hands-on environment.

  • Go through an intensive 3-month site and office-based training program. During this time, you’ll learn everything you need to know about asbestos air monitoring—this means understanding how to test the air in buildings to check for asbestos particles and ensure it’s safe for people to be there
  • Check the level of airborne fibres before starting any work
  • Test for leaks while work is happening to make sure safety measures are working
  • Carry out air testing after the work to confirm it’s safe to remove safety controls and use the area again
  • Report any health and safety concerns to the client and stop work right away if needed
  • Put together a final report with all project details, including waste documents, for the building’s safety file
