Job summary

WestWood Liquid Technologies Limited is seeking a Trainee Area Manager for London & South East. This field-based role supports two Regional Managers with surveying, report writing, specification preparation, and client engagement, with the aim of progressing to a full Regional Manager position.

You will receive comprehensive induction, on-the-job training with the Regional Managers and Technical Support team, CPD delivery opportunities, and planned progression.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proactive with quick learning of technical and commercial concepts.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Interest in construction, waterproofing, coatings, or materials technology.
• Experience in a customer-facing or project-based role.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional Managers with technical site surveys and inspections.
• Support the preparation of reports, specifications, and project documentation.
• Contribute to business development activities, including client visits and presentations.
• Deliver and support CPD presentations to architects, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop understanding of WestWood’s product range and value propositions.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, and specifiers.
• Monitor ongoing projects and provide technical support.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
• Adhere to company procedures, health and safety standards and quality expectations.

Job Title: Trainee Area Manager – London & South East

Reports To: Regional Managers – London & South East

Department: Sales and Technical

Location: Field-based (London and the South East region)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Purpose of the Role

To support the two Regional Managers in London and the South East by assisting with surveying, report writing, specification preparation, and client engagement. The role is designed as a development pathway leading to a full Regional Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Regional Managers with technical site surveys and inspections.
• Support the preparation of reports, specifications, and project documentation.
• Contribute to business development activities, including client visits and presentations.
• Deliver and support CPD presentations to architects, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop an understanding of WestWood’s product range, applications, and value propositions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and specifiers.
• Monitor ongoing projects and assist with technical support as required.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, opportunities, and communications in the CRM system.
• Work in accordance with company procedures, health and safety standards, and quality expectations.
