As a Trainee Agronomist, you will join the Hutchinsons Foundation, our market‑leading development programme. The Foundation combines support toward gaining professional qualifications including BASIS and FACTS, structured skills development through our in‑house training team, and practical on‑farm experience.
In the early stages you will shadow experienced agronomists, assisting with tasks such as crop walking, soil and plant assessments, and gathering field information. This will help you understand how agronomy decisions are made and how our services are delivered. As your knowledge grows, you will gradually take on more responsibility and begin building your professional presence and customer base within your local area.
Previous agricultural experience—through work and/or study—is essential, along with a positive, can‑do attitude and the ambition to build a long‑term career as an agronomist.
