Job summary
Are you a motivated, experienced Paediatric Nurse looking to take the next step in your career as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)? Or are you already an established ACP seeking a dynamic, supportive team where your skills can truly shine? At Mid Yorkshire NHS Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a Paediatric Trained or Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. You will be based across our hospitals, including Pinderfields, Dewsbury, and Pontefract, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to children and young people.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will practice within an Acute Paediatric clinical area to provide general paediatric acute care. This includes assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment within an agreed scope of practice. After completing Core Competencies, they will contribute to the Tier 2 Medical rota. The post holder will work across nursing and medical boundaries, demonstrating leadership in providing expert care, contributing to education, research, audit, and practice development. Upon demonstrating relevant competencies, the practitioner will have clinical expertise, competence, and confidence to work autonomously within a defined sphere of practice, maintaining records and collaborating with the Medical and Nursing teams.
