A number of exciting opportunities have arisen for full-time (minimum 30 hours) Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners (apprentices) to join team DBTH in ACU.
To be part of our team, successful candidates will be experienced nurses or allied health professionals, with excellent leadership and clinical skills, evidence of continuing professional development, drive, ambition, passion, flexibility, and dedication to working in a fast-paced, challenging but exciting environment within a well-established and supportive MDT. (minimum of 3 years post-registration clinical experience - NMC/HCPC)
Successful post holders will undertake the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice master's degree programme (level 7 apprenticeship), run in conjunction with Sheffield Hallam University, and candidates must be committed to completing both academic, clinical, and leadership requirements. You will be required to fulfill the full apprenticeship and commit to three years of study.
Main duties of the job
The trainee ACP will work within a defined scope of practice and to agreed clinical standards within a Trust-wide and local setting.
The role includes prescribing, advanced clinical assessment of all systems, diagnostic skills, understanding of investigations, and improving healthcare quality and access, alongside strengthening professional leadership.
As a trainee ACP, you will provide high-quality clinical care, including comprehensive assessments, investigations, decision-making, treatment, prescribing, evaluation, and referrals.
While working autonomously, the trainee ACP will always work within a multidisciplinary team led by a Consultant.
