Job summary
Mission 4 Recruitment is looking for a Trainee Acoustic Specialist in Hertford to join an industry-leading noise control and acoustics team. You will work alongside experienced engineers on live projects, balancing office-based design with occasional UK site visits.
The role offers hands-on learning, exposure to calculations and analysis, and opportunities for long-term career progression within the acoustics field.
Qualifications
- A-Levels (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, Design & Technology, or an Engineering-related subject.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Basic MS Office (Excel/Word); CAD exposure is a bonus.
- Some practical or project-based engineering experience.
- Full UK driving licence preferred for site visits.
Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers in designing bespoke noise control and acoustic solutions from concept to delivery.
- Perform acoustic calculations, data input, and technical analysis for client projects.
- Assist with testing, investigations, and problem-solving on site and in the office.
- Help coordinate ongoing project timelines and contracting administration.
- Ensure all technical work complies with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
