Responsibilities

  • Assist with environmental noise surveys and monitoring.
  • Support architectural and building acoustics assessments.
  • Prepare technical reports and acoustic calculations.
  • Undertake site visits and liaise with clients and project teams.
  • Assist senior consultants in delivering projects from inception through to completion.
  • Develop knowledge of UK acoustic standards and best practice.

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established and highly respected environmental consultancy in their search for an Assistant Acoustic Consultant to join their growing team in London.

This independent consultancy has built an excellent reputation for delivering practical, cost-effective acoustic, noise and vibration solutions across a diverse range of projects throughout the UK and internationally. The team has contributed to some of the country's most prestigious infrastructure and development schemes, alongside major international projects, bringing a wealth of technical expertise to every commission.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of experienced acousticians, supporting projects across architectural acoustics, environmental noise, building services (M&E) acoustics, vibration, and specialist consultancy services. The consultancy takes a pragmatic approach to acoustic design, developing tailored solutions that meet the unique requirements of each project rather than relying solely on standard guidance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career acoustician looking to develop their technical skills while working on a varied portfolio of commercial, residential, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments.

The Role
  • Assisting with environmental noise surveys and monitoring.
