We are looking for a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team at Lookers Accounts Office in Stirling Audi. It is the perfect opportunity for a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join our award-winning business and enjoy the rewards of working for a market-leading automotive company.

Working for Lookers Audi division, you will be responsible for assisting in all areas within a busy accounts office environment. The role will require you to work to set procedures on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles, working closely with the rest of the Accounts and Admin team and Line Managers as appropriate, carrying out weekly and monthly reconciliations to produce relevant management reports in line with group and brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review and reconcile Debtors and carry out credit control procedures
  • Assist with various monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Handle cashiering responsibilities (banking, petty cash)
  • Assist management teams by resolving accounting queries
  • Report discrepancies to the relevant departmental manager

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have some exposure to a finance-oriented role previously, coupled with strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to reconcile data efficiently. Attention to detail is essential, especially in maintaining accurate records.

Being organized will be second nature to you, and you should thrive working under pressure, prioritizing workload, and showing initiative to improve procedures where appropriate. You should be capable of handling multiple demands on your time.

Effective communication is key, as you will be required to communicate in various ways in this role. You will also handle sensitive information, so discretion and confidentiality are a must.
