Job summary

TC Croydon, part of TC Group, is seeking a Trainee Accountant to learn accounts and tax returns, support bookkeeping, and communicate with clients and colleagues. You will receive training and supervision while building confidence to take ownership of tasks within your role.

You will work toward a recognised accounting qualification while gaining practical experience with a varied client base and learning what good client service looks like in practice.

Qualifications

• Degree educated with a 2:1 classification; strong GCSEs English and Maths and good A Level results or equivalent.
• Motivated, enthusiastic and keen to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of accounts and financial statements from client records.
• Supporting bookkeeping and basic accounting tasks, with training and supervision.
• Helping the team keep client work organised, accurate and moving forward.
• Communicating clearly with clients and colleagues about information required, deadlines and progress.
• Supporting day-to-day office administration and team coordination so the office runs smoothly and client work continues to flow.
• Developing your technical, professional and commercial skills through study, feedback and on-the-job learning.
