Michael Page is partnering with a growing manufacturing business to recruit a Finance professional ready to move beyond transactional roles into a well-rounded Accountant position.

You'll gain hands-on experience across month-end reporting, stock accounting, reconciliations and management accounts while building on your existing transactional skills. AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA study support is available to help you achieve qualifications.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience within a finance environment.
• Exposure to reconciliations, journals or month-end duties.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• A desire to progress into a broader accounting role.
• Strong Excel skills and good systems knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A positive and proactive attitude towards learning.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Support month-end processes including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable activities.
• Support payment runs and supplier account maintenance.
• Assist with stock and inventory reconciliations.
• Investigate finance and stock variances.
• Support payroll accounting processes.
• Assist with VAT returns and compliance reporting.
• Process employee expenses.
• Produce regular financial reports and analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain accurate finance records and controls.
• Assist with process improvement projects.
• Work closely with operational teams across the business.

Description

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Finance Director and wider finance team, you'll gradually take ownership of more complex accounting responsibilities while continuing to support the day-to-day finance function.

You'll gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of finance, making this an ideal role for someone studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or looking to progress through practical experience.

Key Responsibilities
