Description
We are seeking an Apprentice Accountant to join our team! You will gain valuable hands-on experience while also pursuing a coveted qualification in accountancy.

As well as undergoing your AAT qualification, you will be introduced to many areas of accountancy such as bookkeeping, VAT returns, year-end accounts, tax returns and payroll. You will also develop specialist knowledge in service charge accounting and administrative processes.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to work as an Apprentice Accountant within the Service Charge team at our Altrincham office, where we provide a wide range of high-quality service charge expertise.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of Limited company and sole trader accounts.
Management of business and Self-Assessment Tax filings.
Completion and submission of VAT returns.
Liaising with clients and producing management reports.
Conducting bank reconciliations and balancing sheet items.
Undertaking bookkeeping tasks.
General payroll duties.
Journal entries.
Producing service charge certificates.
Raising balancing charges.
Running reports and packs.
Assist Service Charge with administrative tasks.
Plan and prioritise workload.
Regularly report on current workload, key projects, upcoming deadlines, and personal development objectives.
Support and contribute to team meetings.
Ensure effective communication with the Service Charge team about key tasks and issues.
Liaising with the management and the team on workload and upcoming deadlines.

Key Requirements
Keen to pursue an accountancy qualification and an eagerness to learn
Experience with Office 365 (Excel, Word etc.)
Be able to show good attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
GCSEs, including Grade C/5 in Maths and English.

Additional Requirements
Accounts background (desirable).
Competent user of Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of Outlook.
Ability to work efficiently individually and as part of a team.
To be self-motivated, prioritising and multitask effectively.
Must be able to communicate with team members effectively.
Must have a high level of attention to detail.
