Job summary

Bolt Technical is recruiting for a Traffic Signal Engineer to join a leading organisation in the Traffic Engineering sector. The role involves designing, testing, deploying and supporting traffic signalling systems, with full training provided and an on-call rota of 1 in 4 weeks.

Based in Dartford and surrounding areas, with regular site visits and remote monitoring. The position offers a clear training path and opportunities to develop within a specialist industry.

Qualifications

• Experience with traffic signalling design, testing and deployment is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Technical or engineering background with ability to learn new systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and validate signalling schemes using specialist software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Attend sites to oversee implementation and ensure successful delivery.
• Monitor and manage live installations for optimal performance.
• Remotely monitor live sites using CCTV systems.
• Develop and implement timing plans and optimise signal timings.
• Participate in a scheduled on-call rota – 1 in 4 weeks.
