Job summary

Telent Technology Services Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Traffic Project Coordinator to support planning, coordination and delivery of traffic signal projects and schemes. This role is office-based at the Mickelfield depot and requires on-site presence five days per week.

You will assist the Project Manager, coordinate site activities, manage permits and traffic management, and help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role (Traffic/Highways/Telecoms/Utilities) is essential.
• Strong understanding of permits, Streetworks (NSWRA) and traffic management.
• Awareness of cost tracking for materials; CDM knowledge desirable.
• Proactive, organised with strong attention to detail.
• Full-time, office-based role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and team with day-to-day coordination and delivery of traffic signal projects.
• Coordinate site activities for installation, modification, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure permits, traffic management, materials, and resources are in place before works.
• Support final handover of traffic signal schemes.
• Coordinate traffic management requirements to enable safe works.
• Carry out other project coordination duties to aid delivery.

Reporting to the Contract Services Manager, the Traffic Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination and delivery of Traffic Signal projects and schemes. The role will ensure that works are effectively planned and coordinated, delivered safely and efficiently, and completed to the required quality standards, within agreed timescales and budgets.

This is an office-based role, with the successful candidate required to work on-site at our Mickelfield depot five days per week.

What you’ll do:

• Support the Project Manager and operational team with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of traffic signal projects and schemes.
• Coordinate site activities associated with traffic signal installation, modification, testing and commissioning, including booking and confirming site attendance.
• Work closely with the operational team to ensure all required site information, permits, traffic management arrangements, materials, equipment and resources are in place ahead of planned works.
• Support the project team through installation, testing, commissioning and final handover of traffic signal schemes
• Assist in coordinating traffic management requirements and other site prerequisites to enable works to proceed safely and efficiently
• Carry out other reasonable project coordination duties required to support the successful delivery of Traffic Signal schemes.
