Job summary

Brent Council is recruiting a Team Leader for Traffic Orders to lead the statutory compliance for traffic management and parking orders, shaping safer and more efficient journeys across Brent.

You will manage the team responsible for making permanent and temporary orders, oversee delivery and legality, and drive digital map-based order improvements, with hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of The Road Traffic Regulation Act and highways legislation
• Good knowledge of traffic and parking design standards
• Ability to provide direction on legal matters related to drafting and traffic orders

Responsibilities

• Lead the traffic order making team delivering permanent and temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
• Ensure programme delivery and legality of orders while mentoring team members
• Drive service improvements including the Digital Map Based Traffic Order project
