Job summary

MJ Quinn is seeking an experienced Field Based Traffic Management Supervisor to cover the South Wales region. The role blends field inspections with administrative oversight, supporting the TM Manager and site teams.

The ideal candidate will have Traffic Management experience, Streetworks Unit 10, Lantra M1/M2/M5/M6 qualifications, strong planning and communication skills, and the right to work in the UK. A company van and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience within Traffic Management (required)
• Experience within a similar role
• Hold a Streetworks Unit 10
• Lantra M1, M2, M5, & M6 qualifications
• Strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities.
• Strong administration skills and ability to use Microsoft Office.
• A legal right to work in the UK.
• No more than 6 points on driving license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections across all live work sites.
• Provide operational support to teams when required, including TM CAD Drawings & TM Works Diary and liaising with TM Operatives daily.
• Supervise traffic management installations when required.
• Carry out site audits.
• Ensure traffic management is not installed without the relevant consents.
• Inspect future proposed traffic layouts to account for risks (bus stops, parking bays, pedestrian crossings).
• Investigate and report non-compliance and safety issues within all areas of work.
• Attend site and progress meetings as required.
• Carry out any other duties appropriate for a role of this nature.

As our business has expanded we are now looking for an experienced and organised Field Based Traffic Management Supervisor to join our team.

Primary Objective

As a Traffic Management Supervisor, your responsibilities and primary objectives will be to identify and report to the TM Manager any ideas or systems which may benefit the traffic management division. Whilst supporting the Traffic Management Manager where necessary.

This role is covering the South Wales Region

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections across all live work sites.
• Provide operational support to teams when required. This includes TM CAD Drawings & TM Works Diary plus dealing with the TM Operatives on a Daily bases
• Supervision of traffic management installations when required.
• Carry out site audits
• Ensure traffic management is not installed without the relevant consents being in place.
• Inspect future proposed traffic management layouts to ensure all site risks have been accounted for e.g. bus stop suspensions, parking bay suspensions, pedestrian crossings etc.
• Investigate and provide information for non-compliance, traffic management related but also an awareness of non-compliance or safety issues within all areas of the work
• Attend site meetings, progress meetings and other meetings where required.
• To carry out any other duties appropriate for a job of this nature.

Relationships

• Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
• Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
• Communicate effectively with all other departments.
• Carrying out quality checks of design submitted by design partners and provide relevant feedbacks.
• Understanding and implementing design guidelines throughout the business to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Working closely with our Regional Build Managers to support the business KPI’s and targets.

Person Specification

• Experience within Traffic Management (required)
• Experience within a similar role
• Hold a Streetworks Unit 10
• Lantra M1, M2, M5, & M6 qualifications
• Have strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities.
• Strong administration skills and ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Have a previous background in Traffic Management
• Ability to organise your workload and prioritise tasks accordingly.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Have a strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
• A legal right to work in the UK.
• No more than 6 points on driving license
