Job summary

Network Plus is seeking an experienced Traffic Management Operative to work on schemes across the UK. You will manage traffic control measures, perform risk assessments, and ensure safe, compliant operations. Flexibility to work days, nights and some weekends is essential.

The role requires Lantra 12d TTMBC (and 12a/b preferred), a valid UK driving licence, CAD reading skills, and a proactive attitude to safety and site discipline. We offer a full benefits package and value diverse experience.

Qualifications

• Lantra 12d accreditation as a minimum TTMBC (12d M1-M2)
• Lantra 12a/b accreditation; IPV driver; foreman advantageous
• Understand differences between Chapter 8 and Safety at Street Works/Red Book and how these apply
• Full valid UK driving licence
• Able to read CAD drawings related to works
• Mechanical ability with traffic lights preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee all traffic management methods: Give/Take, Stop/Go boards, portable signals, convoy working, lane closures and diversions
• Ensure work follows safe methods and best practice
• Carry out risk assessments and method statements for traffic management projects
• Ensure activities comply with procedures; report improvements to line manager
• Conduct daily vehicle checks for cleanliness and safety
• Promote a positive company image through appearance and site cleanliness
• Identify and communicate opportunities for improvements
• Assist the public and guide them through safe site lines when required
• Escalate management intervention when needed
