Job summary

Class One Traffic Management is seeking a Traffic Management Operative in Scotland. The role involves installing, maintaining, and removing traffic management equipment and operating IPV vehicles where qualified.

You will lead or support a crew to deliver work safely and efficiently, set up lane closures, and ensure compliance with Chapter 8 regulations. We offer flexible shift patterns, including nights, with training provided and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Familiarity with Chapter 8 Regulations.
• HGV licence would be advantageous/required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and remove traffic management equipment (cones, signs, barriers, and lights).
• Drive IPV vehicles where qualified.
• Lead or support a crew to ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently.
• Set up and manage lane closures, road closures, and diversion routes.
• Carry out site checks in line with Chapter 8 regulations.
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Complete traffic counts, reports and near-miss documentation.
• Ensure health and safety standards at all times; mentor trainees.
