Job summary

Go Traffic Management is seeking an experienced Traffic Management Operative to work on schemes across projects, ensuring smooth, safe operations and high standards. Flexibility is required to work days, nights and some weekends, with a proactive, responsible attitude.

Key duties include supervising traffic control methods, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining vehicle safety. The role emphasizes safety, public assistance, and adherence to PL/ARTS and Red Book guidelines.

Qualifications

• Lantra 12d accreditation required as minimum TTMBC (12d M1-M2).
• Lantra 12a/b accreditation required.
• Full valid UK driving licence.
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings relating to works.
• Mechanical ability advantageous for traffic lights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all traffic management methods (stop/go boards, signals, convoying, lane closures, diversions).
• Ensure work follows safe methods and best practices.
• Carry out risk assessments and method statements for traffic works.
• Follow procedures; report improvements to line manager.
• Perform daily vehicle checks for safety and cleanliness.
• Promote positive company image (uniform, site cleanliness, attitude).
• Identify and suggest site/process improvements; seek management intervention when needed.
• Assist the public and direct them through safe site lines when required.
