Job summary

Voleon in London seeks an Associate Member of Trading Staff to rotate across credit, equity, forex and derivatives desks, learning asset classes and region coverage, and to eventually own systematic trading programs. You will interact with traders, researchers and brokers, building analytics and automation to scale the firm’s trading operations.

Under mentorship, you will monitor execution algorithms, track real-time market developments, and contribute to the codebase that underpins automated

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python or R and Unix-like OS experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or quantitative discipline.
• Experience in data analysis and visualization.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor high-volume execution algorithms and portfolio risk.
• Track real-time market developments.
• Interface with external brokers and trading counterparties.
• Contribute to the codebase underlying automated trading operations.
• Build processes and technology to prevent errors or outages while increasing team capacity.
• Provide insight and expertise to the research and development staff.
• Work global market hours for a portion of every year on a rotational basis.
