Job summary

Morrisons, The Market Street Grocer, is seeking a Trading Manager to lead on the shop floor, drive commercial strategy and coach your team to deliver exceptional service daily.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will own trading departments, maximise sales and stock availability, and maintain high retail standards while building strong relationships with colleagues and customers in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Leadership: Experience in high-volume retail, fast-moving consumer goods, or commercial operations where driving trade is key.
• Commercial Mindset: Strong understanding of sales forecasting, shrink management, space productivity, and high-volume stock control.

• Creating Retail Theatre: Driving visual merchandising, promotions, and seasonal setups to display our range at its best.

• Operational Standards: Maintaining high health, safety, legal compliance, and stock accuracy standards.
• Bringing the Floor to Life: Encouraging customer engagement and an authentic "shopkeeper" experience.

At Morrisons, we are proud to be The Market Street Grocer. As a Trading Manager, you won't be stuck behind a desk. You’ll lead on the shop floor, driving commercial strategy, managing your team, and keeping that legendary trade-day energy alive.
