Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking an IT Operations Analyst to join a live trading floor environment. You will be the face of technology, supporting Windows and Unix/Linux workstations and configuring trading desk setups with multi-monitor rigs.

You will automate repetitive BAU tasks using PowerShell, Bash or Python, while leveraging AI tools to increase speed. The role blends hands-on infrastructure with automation in a dynamic market setting.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years in IT support, operations or desktop support.
• Hands-on Unix/Linux experience with CLI.
• Strong scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash or Python).
• Active Directory user management + SaaS/collaboration admin
• Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN)
• Automation-first mindset with real examples
• Calm under pressure and strong communicator

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for IT support on a live, market-critical trading floor
• Desktop support across Windows and Unix/Linux workstations
• Trading desk setups, multi-monitor rigs, and dealer boards
• End-to-end user onboarding/offboarding in Hybrid AD / Entra ID
• Administering Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Teams, and Slack
• Hunting down manual, repetitive BAU work and scripting it away (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Using AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to move faster
• Building self-service and ticket-deflection into how the team operates
