Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking a Trading Assistant - Food to join our Buying team. You will support the Trader with sales tracking, analysis, and admin tasks, ensuring costs and retail changes are accurate and aligned with supplier timelines.

You will interact with suppliers, input into range and promotion decisions, and help with invoice reconciliation and competitive research in a fast-paced trading environment. This hybrid role requires 3 days in our Home Offices weekly.

Responsibilities

• Assist Trader with sales tracking and analysis to inform decisions.
• Maintain up-to-date admin including line listing, cost and retail changes.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure deadlines and tasks are met.
• Input into decisions on ranges and promotions; respond to store/supplier queries.
• Raise and reconcile invoices to the category and support day-to-day trading.

You will support the Trader in all areas, including sales tracking and analysis. It\'s important that you keep the admin up to date, including line listing, cost and retail changes and liaise with suppliers to ensure that they keep to deadlines and tasks. You will input into decisions on ranges and promotions and answer and resolve store/supplier queries. Other important tasks include raising and reconciling of internal and external invoices to the category and assisting the Trader with competitor research and the day to day trading of your category.

To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
