Apex Fintech Solutions in Belfast is seeking an Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day trade reconciliation, correction processing, and client service within the Purchase & Sales department. You will analyze trade postings, review exceptions, and work with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.

The role involves trade validation, settlement support, and compliance with FINRA-like standards in a hybrid office setup, requiring 3+ years of experience and strong SQL/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (or equivalent practical experience) required
• 3+ years of prior work experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with SQL and/or advanced Excel skills advantageous
• Self motivated and able to work independently (certifications may be required within job role)

Responsibilities

• Work with internal and external customers regarding trade postings and corrections.
• Ensure SLA guidelines are met for customer inquiries.
• Respond to inquiries professionally and escalate when needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external clients.
• Process and verify daily purchase and sale transactions across equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
• Identify and resolve trade discrepancies and posting errors.
• Coordinate with counterparties to facilitate timely settlement.
• Review supervisory oversight and ensure regulatory compliance.
