Job summary

Amicus Talent Solutions is seeking a Race Systems Technician to join our motorsport communications team in the UK. The role covers trackside support, remote assistance and hands-on repair of radio and intercom systems for major events.

The position involves extensive international travel (approx. 100 days/year), working evenings and weekends to align with race schedules, and collaborating with race teams, engineers and event organisers to keep communications running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical support within motorsport, broadcast, AV, telecommunications or military environments.
• Strong experience with professional two-way radio systems.
• Understanding of digital radio protocols such as DMR, TETRA or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of UHF and VHF frequency management.

Responsibilities

• Provide trackside and remote technical support for events.
• Configure and support two-way radio and intercom systems.
• Troubleshoot communications equipment and resolve faults in real time.
• Support customers before, during and after events.
• Build, test and prepare communications equipment prior to deployment.
• Manage race support equipment and maintain stock levels.
