Job summary

Freightliner Group Ltd seeks a Head of Track Infrastructure to lead track engineering standards, oversee annual level3 maintenance, manage replacement projects and drive investigations of track issues.

You will be responsible for safety leadership, maintaining high engineering standards, and providing technical advice to internal stakeholders. Occasional UK travel and on‑call duties are included as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in managing a team.
• Experience in railway track infrastructure.
• Proactive and creative problem solving approach.
• Excellent oral communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Strong written communication for clear reports.
• Ability to interpret data and present it clearly.

Responsibilities

• Be a Safety leader – ensure safety for team and contractors.
• Develop and own track maintenance standards.
• Carry out annual track maintenance assessments (lvl3).
• Provide technical advisory support for inspections.
• Manage track maintenance schedule and standards.
• Report on repairs, timescales and investment.
• Own the track maintenance budget and monthly P&L reporting.
• On-call for technical advice during incidents and impacts.
