Hitachi Rail Limited is seeking a technically capable leader to guide fleet safety, reliability and performance. You will head the local Support Engineering team, coordinate cross-site engineering activities and drive investigations to deliver continuous improvement.

You will deputise for the Engineering Manager when needed and engage in periodic customer meetings. The role requires strong engineering qualifications, proven leadership in rolling stock environments, and a proactive approach to

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in rolling stock or complex asset engineering preferred.
• Proven experience leading technical teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead, manage and develop the Shift Support Engineers at the TMC.
• Coordinate with Lead Support Engineers at other TMCs to balance resource requirements.
• Represent Hitachi at Periodic Customer Meetings.
• Act as Engineering lead for TMC related activity and support.
• Lead technical investigations into fleet performance, safety, and reliability.
• Analyse outputs from remote condition monitoring to identify fleet risks.
• Ensure SoWs are in place and prioritised for safety, reliability and performance defects.
• Own reliability performance reporting and drive improvements.
