CT TPA is looking to enhance its growth by recruiting a Team Leader/Claims Handler with an EL/PL background to lead a claims team under the supervision of the Head of UK Claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a multi-class DA claims team daily
  • Implement and ensure adherence to efficient claims handling policies and procedures
  • Train and mentor junior team members
  • Prepare monthly financial and KPI reports
  • Onboard new clients
  • Attend client meetings to report on performance and analyze trends
  • Receive and triage initial loss notifications
  • Liaise with brokers and underwriters
  • Appoint surveyors, lawyers, and experts to progress claims, within delegated authority
  • Gather claim documents, review policy wording, and assess liability
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and consider recoveries from third parties
  • Ensure clear instructions are given to appointed experts
  • Agree on pricing and estimate fees
  • Manage litigation processes
  • Oversee experts to ensure scope compliance
  • Review and approve invoices
  • Maintain accurate claims management records
  • Keep personal timesheets for billing
  • Contribute to fee targets and overall WIP
  • Promote the TPA services to expand business opportunities
Ad Hoc Duties

Perform additional duties as assigned by management within your capabilities and scope.

Person Specification
  • At least 5 years of claims experience in TPA or underwriting, specializing in EL/PL
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience leading a DA claims team
  • Comfortable with bespoke IT systems in a digital environment
  • Accurate in data recording
  • Numerate and detail-oriented
  • Customer-focused, prioritizing client needs
