Job summary

The Entertainer in Watford is seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager to lead a busy store in the Harlequin Shopping Centre. You will drive sales, coach the team, and ensure outstanding customer service in a fast-paced toy retail environment.

With 42.5 hours per week and a competitive benefits package, you’ll be pivotal in day-to-day operations and holiday peak support, reporting directly to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• 12 months retail supervisory or management experience
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Commercial awareness and adaptability
• Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office/Teams

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager to drive sales and targets.
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Keep the store well presented, stocked and shop-ready.
• Use reports to make smart commercial decisions.
• Manage stock, staffing schedules and store operations.
• Step up to run the store in the Manager’s absence.
