Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is expanding its Town Planning teams across the UK and welcomes professionals at various levels from Planner to Director.

The role focuses on delivering planning projects for residential, commercial and energy sectors, coordinating internal teams, and advising clients on strategy and applications. We value chartership, strong relationships, and proactive delivery, with hybrid working and opportunities across regional and national projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered MRTPI status or working towards chartership.
• Planning experience within a consultancy, private or public sector.
• Experience preparing, submitting and negotiating planning applications.
• Experience across residential, mixed-use, strategic, commercial or energy projects.
• Coordinating internal and external project teams for high-quality delivery.
• Building strong client relationships with commercially focused advice.
• For senior roles, experience with planning appeals is advantageous.
• Local knowledge of the region is beneficial; relocators welcome.

About You:

We're looking for passionate and commercially aware Town Planners who want to make a positive impact through their work and develop their careers within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

You'll have experience in some of the following areas:

• Chartered MRTPI status or working towards chartership.
• Proven planning experience within a consultancy, private sector or public sector environment.
• Preparing, submitting and negotiating planning applications across a variety of scales and project types.
• Experience across residential, mixed-use, strategic, commercial and/or energy projects.
• Coordinating internal and external project teams and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships and providing commercially focused planning advice.
• For more senior roles, experience of planning appeals and appearing at informal hearings is advantageous.
• Local knowledge and experience of working within the region you're interested in joining is beneficial, although relocators are very welcome to apply.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car would be advantageous for some roles.
