Our client is looking for an experienced Planner / Senior Planner / Associate who has ambitions to be part of an established, exciting, innovative, and growing independent planning consultancy.

Key Information:

Suitable candidates would be Chartered Town Planners, Senior Planners, or Associate Planners. Experience in a Town Planning-related role is essential; consultancy experience would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing and managing large-scale residential planning applications and managing multidisciplinary teams of technical consultants. The Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity to join an independent planning consultancy with a team of ambitious and driven individuals who have the skills and aspirations to mentor and develop young planners. The role includes:

• Undertaking site appraisals and providing planning advice to clients.
• Preparing Supporting Planning Statements, other supporting documents, and representations to Local Plan consultations.
• Project managing technical consultant teams and developing skills in time management, financial management, and invoicing.
• Coordinating the submission of various planning applications, including full, outline, hybrid, Section 73, Section 96A, and discharge of conditions.
• Communicating with planning professionals, clients, Local Planning Authorities, and technical consultants via telephone, email, and meetings.
• Organising and managing community consultations, including stakeholder mapping, public exhibitions, and meetings, preparing consultation materials, attending events, analysing feedback, and preparing Statements of Community Involvement.
• Supporting senior staff with Planning Appeals, including drafting Appeal Statements and attending Appeal Hearings/Inquiries, and submitting relevant documentation to the Planning Inspectorate.

Developing business skills and client relationships by attending networking events and building connections with property professionals.
