Our Consents team sits in within the Infrastructure Division and provides town planning and consenting advice across a diverse range of sectors, including rail, highways, energy, electricity transmission, renewable energy and commercial infrastructure. We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware Planner / Senior Planner to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, helping clients navigate the planning process and secure the consents needed to bring major developments forward.

We're looking for a motivated town planner who is passionate about helping to deliver major infrastructure projects and enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. We anticipate this role will suit individuals with around 2-3 years experience for Planner, and 4+ years for Senior Planner.
You’ll bring essential experience of town planning processes, legislation and regulations (Town and Country Planning Act). You will have experience of assessing sites for planning constraints, identifying risks and opportunities as well as preparing and submitting various types of applications and submissions.
You will have a desire to learn more about infrastructure planning and other consenting regimes. Experience within sectors such as transport, energy, electricity transmission or renewable energy would be beneficial. Exposure to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and the Development Consent Order (DCO) process would be beneficial but is not essential.
Most important is your ability to build trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams, manage competing priorities and communicate complex issues clearly, concisely and confidently.
